Tour de Fat- Minneapolis

Wow! Minnesota! Who knew there were so many people on bikes up here in this American Klondike? The first ever Minneapolis Tour de Fat was well-festooned and amply enjoyable with many people stopping by WFP's Nomadic Engagement Device to say hello and pick up copies of the new Matter (12, Press) and our newly-released Boneshaker (BA 42-300), while alternately and incessantly commenting on the weather. People here are intimately involved and concerned with the weather, we noticed, and perhaps justifiably so. We thought the weather was fine, however.

Friday night before the Tour, New Belgium carnie Michael Bussmann joined us for an especially raucous reading at Cars R Coffins Coffee Bar/Cykel Garage, and by raucous we mean well-intended, crisply pronounced, and extremely intimate. With the garage door open, we each read choice selections with cars zooming by behind us and bikes hung above us in the shop. Very, very nice time had. Thank you to Hurl Everstone and the Cars R Coffins crew for having us.

From here, it's on to Seattle. Until then, we are practicing patiently and pedaling our way to greater heights.
